Abstract
This second program in the four part pain series will examine the three major groups of medications used to treat and manage pain: non-opioids, opioids, and adjuvants. It will also examine pain's etiology and expected treatment cycle. Using this approach, it classifies pain as: acute, chronic non-malignant, and chronic malignant.
