Abstract
Written by Edward Rostand, this 1897 French classic is a timeless tale of wordplay and swordplay. Cyrano, a soldier in the French Army, is a talented musician and poet but lacks self-confidence because of his physical appearance. He is afraid to express his love for the beautiful Roxanne, who is torn between Cyrano and Christian, a handsome cadet. The performance includes an updated version of the story, adapted by playwright Michael Hollinger and director Aaron Posner, directed by Thomas O'Neill.
