Abstract
In this episode, the primal exercise of negotiation and opportunism is explicated as 12 prisoners and guards band together to form a new and balanced society. Mere hours later, faced with an inability to enforce the commune rules, four members fill the power vacuum by launching a ruthless bid for control of the group.
