Abstract
This program chronicles the global events that ultimately led to U.S. action in World War II. Discussion points include Hitler and the Nazi Party, fascism in Italy, and Communism under Stalin; British appeasement and American isolationism; blitzkrieg; the Lend-Lease Plan; and the Holocaust. The program ends with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor - "a date which will live in infamy" - and America's declaration of war.
