Abstract
After the murder of Richard II, Henry assumes the throne, and is immediately confronted with rebellion by Owen Glendower, Douglas of Scotland, Northumberland and his son Hotspur. The plays also follows the boisterous Falstaff as he leads Prince Hal, the heir to the throne, through London's lowlife taverns. While the young prince wastes his youth, a civil war threatens the monarchy. When the battle of Shrewsbury results, Prince Henry redeems himself at last. Stars Jon Finch, Anthony Quayle and David Gwillim.
