This is the second half of this sermon. The Bethany Hour. Scripture lesson from Exodus 16:1-7. The Rev. William A. Jones discusses how the slaves that were first brought to the United States from Africa were subject to preaching about Christianity. He explains that they could see the incompleteness and hypocrisy of the services given to them by slave owners and were able to take the real word of God to create an invisible (to slave owners) church and how they used coded language in songs to fight for their freedom.
