Abstract
The majority of presentations are poorly designed - we all have sat through them. While presentation tools are commonplace, knowledge of how to effectively use them is not. Aside from the lucky few who have a background in the creative arts, rarely do college courses cover design concepts or graphic fundamentals. Without this background it is easy to let available software and functions lead one down the wrong path towards ineffective communication of ideas and thoughts. However help is on the way! This presentation covers how to design professional development opportunities to irradiate ineffective presentations on your campus for faculty and staff.
