Abstract
Cathy Parrish has developed a relationship of trust with her patients that allows them to talk to her about issues they might not feel comfortable sharing with their parents. That is the value of having the same doctor over a long period of time. One of the biggest problems in the urban environment is early sexual activity, drugs and violence. Adolescent physicians are good at talking to young teens and helping identify those who are at higher risk.
