Abstract
Childhood is the perfect time to key in on the enjoyment of healthy physical activity. If left alone, the younger members of any mammalian species are physically active. But as children get older, parents, and sometimes coaches, may push a child's involvement in a particular sport or dance to the point of physical injury. Rather than have a child do the same sport all year long, it's important to cross-train muscles, remembering the importance of rest and nutrition.
