Abstract
Dr. Andrew Leuchter, Director of Adult Psychiatry at UCLA, talks about progress in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia and depression. Dr. Leuchter notes that in many instances, the symptoms of the illness are treated (with varying degrees of success), while the ultimate course of the illness remains unchanged.
