Abstract
Virtue ethics parallels many features of modern psychology. One such characteristic is a high regard for emotion, considered to be in close alliance with reason. Virtue ethics recognizes how we become who we are through relationships with others. The affection that parents show an infant is an affirmation that has lifelong benefits. The richness of social relations and how someone interacts with others becomes the prime arena in which ethical behavior plays out.
