Abstract
Philosopher Hubert Dreyfus continues his discussion of Kierkegaaard, whose views embody what Kierkegaard calls the temporal and the eternal. The temporal refers to living day-to-day in time. The eternal refers to one's unconditional commitment. Kierkegaard believed that the temporal and the eternal could be combined and that, if one does so correctly, with the right kind of involvement, one will always have some commitment, something by which to live one's life.
