PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN, N.Y.
Brooklyn, the second largest of the five boroughs of New York City, was until, 1898, when it became a part of Greater New York, the fourth largest city in point of population in the United States. Prospect Park includes 516 acres of rolling land with picturesque lakes and an unrivaled growth of old forest trees. The park is beautifully laid out, care having been taken in the 40 years of its existence as a park to preserve its admirable natural features. 175.
