Moller and Schumann Varnishes Ad

Abstract

Postcard is an advertisement for varnishes from Moller and Schumann. This postcard is undivided and has a postmark year of 1880.

The caption reads:
Brooklyn, January, 1880.
Gentlemen:
Owing to the extreme advances of all raw material, more especially varnish gums, we have discontinued for the present to issue our regular monthly quotations, as heretofore. The state of the market not warranting steady prices, but we shall be pleased to quote you, with pleasure, our lowest figures, on request.
The outlook for the present indicates still higher prices, more especially on all medium and lower grades of varnishes and Japans, also on pure alcohol shellacs. As in the past, so in the future, we shall aim to sell nothing but first-class goods, and thanking you for past favors, we await your further orders, and remain,
