POST CARD
BROOKLYN BRIDGE, New York. Over East River and City Hall, Manhattan to Sand street, Brooklyn. Construction begun January 3, 1870 and was opened up for traffic May 24, 1883. Original cost 10 millions. Has a total length of 6,537 feet and 85 feet wide. It is estimated that one million people are passing the bridge daily.
