Abstract
Television news correspondent, presidential advisor and university professor Marvin Kalb refutes the notion that the American people have no interest in foreign affairs. Mr. Kalb explains that when politicians and the media only focus on domestic issues, the American people are led to believe that foreign policy has no relevance to their lives. "I think we do have an interest in foreign affairs, when it's explained to us," Mr. Kalb adds.
