Abstract
Former White House press secretary Mike McCurry talks about the congressional response to Watergate in the 1970's and to President Clinton's sex scandal twenty-five years later. Mr. McCurry says his memory of Watergate is not the "misbehavior" of Richard Nixon, but the way Sam Ervin and those on the House Judiciary Committee, "...struggled to get it right and do the right thing, and really seemed statesmanlike." By contrast, Mr. McCurry says, "...in the Bill Clinton impeachment, it was exactly the opposite."
