Rabbi Berkowitz's class at Yeshiva Yagdil Torah - Lesson on Passover (Part 1)
Terms you may encounter:
Afikomen: A piece of matzoh that is set aside during the seder to eat as dessert and which is hidden for children to find, as a game.
Haggadah: “Telling,” the text used for the Passover seder.
Seder: Ritual Passover meal.
00:00:04 - Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Berkowitz's class of young boys at Yeshiva Yagdil Torah: a lesson about the upcoming holiday of Passover and the Exodus story. "All the Jews went out of Egypt, including the children in this class." The class sings the opening prayers of the Haggadah. Additional review of what will happen at the seder. "Once a year you are permitted to steal. Do you know when? Yes, you can steal the afikomen at the seder and ask for a present". The children yell out what presents they want to get after the Afikomen is found. (Yiddish with some English)
00:04:59 - Additional review of the Haggadah. Traditional Yiddish version of the Four Questions. The class then again reviews the order of the seder. (Yiddish)

Some of the class saw a bakery where women were rolling out dough for matzoh, others a bakery with only "tatehs" (daddys). (Yiddish)

00:21:19 - Rabbi Berkowitz reminds the class that at the festive lunches of the first two days of Passover, Jews remember the holiday of Purim because Haman was hung during Passover.
