Abstract
Not all relationships work out nor, most would agree, should they. The breakup of a relationship may be caused by the fact that the couple discovers they have little in common, including values, and it is difficult for them to communicate. Although breakups are painful for both parties, it is particularly painful for the one who has greater interest in the relationship. How a liaison ends impacts future relationships.
