Abstract
This film details the events and influences that shaped the development of Joseph Haydn. Combined with stunning period images, paintings and feature film inserts, this program explores the life and times of Haydn against a background of orchestral performance of the highlights of his most popular works. Played by The Moscow Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Constantine Krimets, a graduate of both the Kiev State Conservatory and also the Moscow Conservatory. Features Vladimir Spivakov, Symphony No 26, Lamentation, Trumpet Concerto, Menuetto: Allegro, and Finale Vivace. Classical European Composers is a new musical biography series exploring the lives, works and influences of the world's greatest European Composers.
