Abstract
General John Pershing is concerned about the effectiveness of the Allied war plan and pushes to gain control over a specific sector of the battle for U.S. troops. Such an approach will highlight the significance of the United States' contribution and give the country a greater role in influencing the terms of the eventual peace.
