Abstract
The United States experiences great economic prosperity between 1994-2000 in the fields of manufacturing and technology. A recession marks the beginning of the 21st century as the technology bubble burst causing the stock market to decline. With the trend toward a global economy continuing, Americans fear that it will become more difficult to control inflation, our currency and banking system. Pressure is placed on American entrepreneurs who are competing in countries where environmental and labor standards are much lower, while labor looks for a system that has more justice in it.
