Abstract
In an ideal world, all of our diseases and problems would be compressed into the very last few years of life. But the reality is that people tend to get more chronic illnesses as they grow older. In this segment several chronic conditions that affect the elderly - diabetes, arthritis, and osteoporosis - are examined.
