Abstract
The case of an unlicensed Chicago exterminator is investigated. Used appropriately, methyl parathion poses no danger. But Reuben Brown did not use it for its intended agricultural purposes. He used it inside people's homes, where it may not break down for two or three years. This investigation in the aftermath of exposure to a toxic substance uncovers the personal, medical, toxilogical, legal, and remedial implications of toxic exposure.
