Abstract
The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 gave each state the tools to enforce a code of safety in all workplaces. Employers must report accidents to OSHA and employees can make a complaint against an employer, anonymously if desired. OSHA investigates, reports, and conducts inspections to assure that safety codes are in place and enforced.
