Abstract
The Del Amo neighborhood of Los Angles is the location of two adjacent Superfund sites in close proximity to residential neighborhoods. It wasn't until after she moved into her Del Amo neighborhood that Cindy Babich began to investigate health complaints common to the neighborhood and found out about the Superfund sites. She also learned that similar health complaints had been made for the previous 20 years. Eventually the EPA, the principle responsible parties, and the community reached agreements concerning the issues of health and property.
