Abstract
This clip explains that we subtract fractions in at least two kind of problems: take-away and missing addend. It then provides an example of each, along with instructions on how to solve them. In the take-away problem given, it's necessary to change the mixed numbers provided into improper fractions and proceed from there. In the case of the missing addend, we find the common denominator, and then subtract the smaller numerator from the larger numerator.
