Abstract
This clip summarizes dividing decimal fractions, explaining that, "…in any division problem involving decimals, the first step is to make sure the quotient is a whole number." The clip explains how that is done, then notes that "…we place the decimal point of the answer directly over the decimal point of the dividend." The clip then reviews the different types of outcomes that may result when dividing decimal fractions, in the process re-visiting the terms "terminating decimals" and "repeating decimals." The clip concludes by mentioning the shortcut for dividing by powers of ten.
