Abstract
This clip explains that when adding two or more numbers with the same sign, to get the absolute value of the answer, we add the absolute value of the addends. "As for the sign of the answer," the clip continues, "…it's the same as the sign of the addends." And if the signs are left out, we know the numbers must be positive.
