Abstract
This clip summarizes signed fractions. It explains that negative fractions are just as useful as any other kind of negative number. The clip then re-visits the question of what exactly constitutes a negative fraction. It states that, if the numerator and denominator of a fraction are both negative, the fraction itself is actually positive. The clip also says that, when adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing signed fractions, the arithmetic is exactly the same as for any other signed numbers. The clip concludes by reminding us that, "...in solving equations...we can work with signed numbers and fractions, just as with whole numbers."
