Abstract
This clip explains that finding the area of a parallelogram is much like finding the area of a rectangle. "The area of a parallelogram equals the base times the height," the clip states. The clip further notes that, "
if we cut a parallelogram in half diagonally, we get two triangles that are the same size. Each triangle is half of the parallelogram." This gives us a way to find the area of a triangle: "Area equals 1/2 the base times the height," or "base times height over two," as it's sometimes written.
