Abstract
This clip introduces the Pythagorean Theorem, named for the Greek mathematician Pythagoras. In addition to explaining the theorem itself, the clip explains how it is commonly used, including as a way to determine if a triangle is a right triangle, and as a means by which to find the length of one side of a right triangle when we know two sides.
