Abstract
Documentary film of a five month long strike in the Fall of 1968 at San Francisco State College in which the Third World Liberation Front mobilized students to call for "the power to change the racist nature of education." They succeeded in creating the very first Ethnic Studies Department in America and prefigured many of the debates over affirmative action, ethnic separatism and multicultural curricula embroiling campuses today.
