Abstract
It’s natural to dream of awards and achievements that spotlight one’s unique gifts—but the best designers know when to leave ego at the door and contribute to a group effort. This program shows how design teams and individual designers working in a collaborative setting use materials, techniques, and processes to create a product. Viewers learn the importance of working toward a common goal, beginning with a client interview and proceeding through the multifaceted design stage to the production and manufacturing phase. Specific topics include documentation, client feedback, team evaluations, and combining traditional and new technologies.
