Abstract
College students today need to be proficient in using the latest technological tools that are available. Although most have mastered how to use the popular social network sites there are many students who are intimidated by the thought of taking an online course. Introducing simple yet effective online methods in face-to-face classrooms can easily dispel these fears. With time and practice, the traditional student gains confidence and expertise in managing their learning either in the classroom or online. These new skills allow them increased flexibility and a vast selection of choices when creating schedules. Some of the online tools that can be successfully implemented in one semester include testing, assignments, lectures and discussions. There are several advantages for designing courses in this way which include improved course management, increased classroom time for learning, and enhanced learning outcomes.
