Abstract
In this video, Robin Strangis - a respected interior designer and a member of the influential Color Marketing Group - takes students on a trip through the world of color. After neatly summing up color’s cultural significance and explaining the physics of color, she uses the color wheel to introduce primary, secondary, and tertiary colors; complementary colors; hue, value, and intensity; tints and shades; color families; and color schemes. She also addresses the emotional and physical impact of specific colors. The video ends with tips on color selection and coordination. “Understanding the principles of color can change your world,” says Ms. Strangis.
