Abstract
This video joins principal designer Brandi Hagen of Eminent Design as she shares the components of green interior design—green building materials, appliances, and furnishings that not only create beautiful spaces but also take into consideration environmental impact. Environmentally friendly design options under discussion include low-flow and water-restricting plumbing choices; tile options such as recycled glass and handmade clay tiles; countertops made from recycled paper, concrete, copper, and glass; reclaimed or FSC-certified wood flooring and recycled or natural-source carpet options; energy-efficient appliances; compact fluorescent bulbs and LEDs; VOC-free paints; and organic fabrics.
