Abstract
This is the second part of a symposium covering the social and environmental impact of the mass flooding that occurred in Passaic County, NJ during 2011. This part is organized as a panel discussion addressing the practical matters involved in planning and responding to flood-related disasters. Part 1 contains the symposium's keynote address, while part 3 concludes with the second panel discussion addressing long-term municipal and state planning and responses to flood-related disasters, and a final Q&A.
