Abstract
The manner in which salespeople establish, build and maintain relationships is the key to success. Most successful sales consultants see themselves as the customer's partner in the sales process rather than their adversary. In addition to customers, most successful sales consultants also develop good relationships with the management and internal support staff of their firm and the support staff of their customers. The ability to develop good relationships begins with a positive self image.
