Topics include lateral transfers and repositioning, lifting safety, ambulating guidelines, safety standards for bathroom and shower facilities, fall prevention and mitigation, daily safety activities, and bedside assistance. Includes proper body mechanics for lifts and belts, sliding boards and discs, and canes and walkers, as well as correct posture while standing for long periods of time. Designated for 2 contact hours of continuing nursing education.
