Abstract
Carman discusses his relationships with the college, first as a student in the summer library school during the 1930s and then as a professor since 1961. Topics include various college presidents during his years, his extensive work in the professional training program for student teachers, his work with the Outdoor Education Program, his impressions of Trenton State College students, his opposition to the idea of changing the name of the college, his frustration at the lack of an education major at the time of the interview, and the significance of his doctoral work on equivalency credits for teachers.
