Abstract
Crowell discusses the evolution of New Jersey State Normal School at Trenton (later State Teachers College and State Normal School at Trenton, New Jersey State Teachers College at Trenton, and Trenton State College) from a female-dominated teachers college to a comprehensive college offering a wide range of degree programs. Topics also include his early teaching experience, the original downtown campus location, his impressions of Don Bliss, Principal of the Trenton Normal School, President Roscoe West, and other faculty members and staff, his advisor role for several sororities, changes in science education, and his work for the Association for the Education of Teachers of Science and the New Jersey Science Teachers Association.
