Abstract
The presentation describes a new First Year Seminar designed to encourage incoming Drew students to pay attention to their screen time and how online behavior affects their 'real' lives. Students will study the larger debates about how technology use impacts education and society, and will create arguments for multiple sides of the debate. They will use information from this research to examine their own online behavior, identity creation, multi-tasking, and technology-induced stress. Students will devise an intentionality plan for daily technology use. Since the course will be nearing its conclusion at the time of this presentation, preliminary results will be included.
