Student as Facilitators in a Flipped Classroom
Abstract
Flipping the classroom increases opportunities to engage the students in meaningful ways and is changing how we view our roles as educators. Students learn best by doing, by creating, by experiencing. In this presentation, we will discuss flipping squared, where students served as the instructors in a flipped classroom. By creating and facilitating as guides on the side, students were provided an authentic hands-on experience which engaged them differently than a traditionally modeled classroom.
