Abstract
On Oct. 2, 2014, the Inserra Chair in Italian and Italian American Studies co-sponsored the event "Scrittori tra due mondi: Writers Between Two Worlds". The first part of the program was a symposium which included academic presentations given in Italian (primarily) and in English by a group of international scholars investigating the cultural, psychological and social implications of multiple geographies. The second part was the presentation of two recent groundbreaking anthologies (Italoamericana and Poets of the Italian Diaspora) that compile some of the most relevant writings of the Italian diaspora. The program included readings and live musical accompaniment. This video was filmed and edited by Omar Portilla (MSU alumnus).
