Abstract
Web accessibility, online course accessibility and accessible course materials have become key topics in higher education, both because of what they allow – universal access to people with disabilities, and what they prevent – lawsuits. This workshop will highlight the process that has begun at Rutgers to assist faculty and web developers in creating accessible websites and course content. Policy development, implementation planning, and buy-in will be addressed. Specifics of how to create accessible materials and check their accessibility will be described.
