Abstract
About the title: Artist Frank Augustyn sheds new light on some classic ballets by discussing them with some great ballet stars. Don Quixote, based on Cervantes's novel about an old knight who dreams of chivalry and tilts at windmills, was produced chiefly to introduce Spanish dances.
About the series: Break a leg. Conceived and hosted by internationally renowned dancer, Frank Augustyn, Footnotes sheds new light on the classics of ballet. Featuring interviews of ballet stars from around the world, choreographers and critics, we provide a new perspective and understanding of an art form that is often foreign to the average viewer.
