Abstract
A new approach to operational security models is needed. Too much sensitive data is being lost and that places enterprises at grave risk. This session will focus on how the introduction and utilization of commercial threat intelligence feeds and services can sharpen an organization’s security focus, help prioritize enterprise security spend and transition security operations from reactive to proactive. The discussion describes a sensitive data centric approach to security that is fine-tuned to the actual, real threats aimed at specific organizations. The result of this approach provides a direct link between threat intelligence and organizational risk mitigation. Early identification and response to real threats now contextualizes and validates previous “what-if” scenarios and allows for targeted calculation of risk that can be used to align the business, budget, and operational responses.
