Polynomiography: A Visualization Software and Its Apps for All: STEAM, Teaching Math, Making Art, or Just Having Fun
Abstract
I will introduce Polynomiography through its images, software and apps. If space is available some posters will be exhibited.

As a professor of computer science at Rutgers University, more than a decade of my research into the theory and algorithms for solving polynomial equations led to the invention of what I call Polynomiography, algorithmic visualization in solving polynomial equations. I hold a U.S. patent for its software. By virtue of its visual nature, the beauty of the images, and the fact that solving equations is the foundation of math and science, polynomiography has received much attention from distinct audiences, including K-12 student who are familiar with silving quadratic equation.

I have delivered more than 100 lectures, many invited, to middle and high school students, college students, general audiences, mathematician and scientists, in more than a dozen countries, including Korea, Japan, Austria, Canada etc. Here in the U.S. I have come in contact with K-12 teachers and professors of education, working with them toward ways of incorporating polynomiography into the curriculum of some courses.

I have also considered other applications of polynomiography, such as in visual art, fashion, cryptography, and more.
