Abstract
Using Canvas Blackboard Collaborate to effectively teach remotely. Teaching remotely using Blackboard Collaborate allows both the instructor and the students to maintain course continuity in the event of a school closing, instructor illness or absence, and also provides a means for guest lecturers without the added time or travel expenses. When mastery of material is needed to assess the effectiveness of the remote experience students can be required to submit an assignment or an online quiz on Canvas can be used to test the students knowledge.
